Casio has taken the design of its popular MTG-S1000 models and splashed on some unique gold / black-ion plating to create the exclusive Basel World Limited Edition timepiece. What makes this watch stand out above any other G-Shock is the process of ionization that gives it its beautiful antique look and feel. It is manufactured by the Japanese company Yamagata who only produced a mere 500 pieces worldwide. It is not only the first G-Shock to incorporate the antique-looking IP approach, but also one of the rarest and hardest to find.
Core Guard Structure
A foursome of stainless steel screws create a metallic guarding structure that securely attaches the bezel to the case back. A rubber case is located inside the stainless steel structure to guard the inner movement from damage.
A 3-dimensional dial, made of multiple layers provides a perception of stylish depth. The larger-than-usual hour markers with markedly raised edges makes this dial as beautiful as it does unique.
